The annual Cultivating Presence: Training Retreat in Compassionate End of Life Care is scheduled for August 6-11, 2010 near San Francisco. This six-day residential retreat features core faculty and key elements of the End-of-Life Care Practitioner Program. As a participant in the Metta Institute I can confirm that their trainings are transformational and may well exceed your expectations.
The training offers a fresh and integrated approach to the practical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of the dying experience that goes well beyond the traditional medical models. The faculty are remarkable role models: attentive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. For a full program description, click here.
The program is already half full so I encourage you to apply immediately. You may also contact me (below) to talk about my experience at the Metta Institute. I completed the year-long training program in 2006.
