  1. This is a great little quote and oh how I know it to be true! The tougher things are the harder I practice. It’s kind of easy to slide along the surface when things are going well. My teacher talks about the compassionate side of suffering which was an amazing concept to me. But suffering, as Alice Walker is pointing out her causes us to wake up! (if we’re lucky)
