Today I’m posting little (and late) after travelling 101 km to guide seven adults in scattering the ashes of their loved-one on a lake. Rain clouds opened and the sun warmed us as each bent over the wobbly floating deck to open their zip-lock bag to release what briefly turned the water grey. How kind of them to include me in their ritual of remembrance and farewell. One of the three blessings was this, adapted from “Under a dark star” by Fiona Macleod (1895):
Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the infinite peace to you.

What a lovely compliment and blessing… to be included in so intimate a ritual…
I’ve been reading through your posts, having been focusing on my new job after a few years now of not working and raising our son. Transitions abound, I see!
What an amazing journey you are now on! I’ve enjoyed your wonderful quotes below and wish you much peace on your new path.
